IFD DEPARTMENT STATISTICS
- In May of 2022, the Ridge Culver & Laurelton Fire Districts combined to become the Irondequoit Fire District. We are now one district operating out of two stations the Empire station (formerly the Laurelton FD) and the Culver station (formerly the Ridge Culver FD).
- Irondequoit FD employs 1 Career Chief, 5 Career Captains, 8 Career Lieutenants and 24 Career Firefighters to complement a volunteer force of 50+ Firefighters. The career staff ensures that there is someone to answer your emergency 24/7. The career staff can’t do it all on their own, so we rely on the volunteer firefighters to assist with answering your emergencies.
- We operate with two first due career staffed apparatus (1 Quint out of the Culver station and 1 Engine out of the Empire station) and 4 volunteer staffed apparatus (1 Quint, 2 Engines and 1 Rescue).
